Welcome to Section V's Online Continuing Professional Education Program!
Our aim is to provide exciting high-level continuing professional education to our own members and to members of the psychoanalytic community generally.
The mission of Section V of the Division of Psychoanalysis of the American Psychological Association is to advance the cause of an eclectic, progressive, evolving psychoanalysis.
On this website we will be providing the text of Turning Point papers important in the evolution of psychoanalysis—along with an introduction to and commentary on each paper by a distinguished teacher. We also provide references for follow-up; a link for purchasing texts online; an opportunity (for members of the section) for comment and discussion through the section listserv; and an opportunity to receive 3 CE credits (5 for the Tabin course) from Division 39, which is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Division 39 maintains responsibility for this program and its contents. In order to receive the credits, you must print, answer and mail in—along with a registration fee—test questions which follow the commentary.
Members of Section V pay no registration fee—this is a benefit of membership.
We're also providing an opportunity for those who are already members of Division 39 to join Section V and thereby take advantage of the benefit.
