  Biography for Michael Nash, Ph.D., ABPP

Regional Representative, Southern Region

Michael Nash, Ph.D., ABPP is Professor of Psychology at the University of Tennessee. He received his doctorate from Ohio University in 1983 and completed his clinical internship at Yale University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry in the same year. He has published two books, one on the research foundations of hypnosis and another on the topic of psychoanalysis, both co-authored with Dr. Erika Fromm. He has authored over 80 publications in scientific journals on the topics of human memory, psychotherapy, dissociative pathology, sex abuse, and hypnosis, including a recent cover story in Scientific American. He is a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology; and is the recipient of numerous awards for his scientific and clinical writing including the Morton Prince Award.
